Gran the Texas Gardener
Hello and thank you for stopping by my garden seed shop. I have been playing in the Texas dirt for about 33 years and have tan lines to prove it. I wish I could say it has all been fun and very successful but that would be a lie. A lot of trial and error, a lot of praying the seeds planted would come up, be strong and thrive, not attract too many bugs and taste great. But I love it and every year I tell myself I am only going to plant a few things and BAM, here I go again filling almost every inch of dirt with seeds. I have to say it is so exciting every time to see that tiny little seed go into the ground, pop its little head up and grow into a beautiful plant. Most of the time things do go well in my gardens and I am thrilled and thankful. But then you still have to deal with all the negative elements that come with gardening too and that can be frustrating. But yet the rewards out weigh the frustrations and I keep planting those tiny little seeds with such hope. I am still amazed what one small seed can produce and also give you more seed.
One of my favorite scriptures is Genesis 1:11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
