Golden Jubilee Heirloom Tomato Seed, Indeterminate
15 seeds per package
Open pollinated, non-gmo
The Golden Jubilee tomato is said to be high in vitamin C and low acid. Bright orange tomato that is meaty and very tasty. Globe shaped, approximately 2.5” to 3” in size, about 5 to 6 ounces. ASC resistant, fungal disease.
The tomato needs to be staked, trellised, or caged, and pruned for best results; fruit ripens over an extended period. Fertilize carefully since excess nitrogen causes rampant growth, rot, and delayed ripening.
Full sun, 8 – 12 hours, location when planting outside.
Sow 1/8" deep keeping the soil lightly moist until germination.
Well draining soil is best with compost and lime (add calcium)
Plant Spacing, 24” apart.
Germination, approximately 5 – 7 days.
Harvest, approximately 80 days
Not frost hardy
For starting seeds indoors, you will want to start 6 – 8 weeks before last frost.
Hardened-off your plants if you started them indoors. For tall indeterminate plant consider pruning once they outgrow a manageable size for easy harvest. Staking needs to be done when you plant the seedling in the ground or container. It is very difficult to do this after the plant begins to grow, but not impossible. It’s just best to get the tall stakes or trellis in the ground or the large container early.
