The Mortgage Lifter tomato is an indeterminate beefsteak tomato variety with a pinkish-red flesh that taste rich with a slight sweetness to it. I really enjoy this tomato.

Each tomato weighs in around 2.5 pounds or more and they're meaty with very few seeds.
Fun Fact: This heirloom tomato variety gets its name from a man who sold enough plants for $1 each to pay off his mortgage!

You can sow seeds indoors or direct sow when all danger of freezing has past.

Tomatoes need at least 6 to 8 hours of sun to bring out their best flavors. You will need to stake, trellis, or cage most tomato plants to keep them off the ground. Add the support directly after planting.
