Orange Nasturtium Seeds, Trailing (Tropaeolum Majus Double Gleam Orange)
15 Seeds per package, non-gmo open pollinated
Grow this favorite garden flower from seeds and enjoy its beauty all summer long. Double Gleam Orange features vivid semi-double orange flowers that are wonderfully scented. Beautiful and beneficial, Nasturtiums are often planted as companions to vegetables as they can help to repel harmful pests. Not only do Nasturtiums produce gorgeous blooms, the blooms are also edible and have a peppery, almost mustard-like taste. I add mine to fresh salads, looks beautiful and taste amazing.
This variety is also called a trailing nasturtium and can reach 60 inches in length. Trailing plants can be used as climbers or in baskets where the foliage and flowers will cascade downward.
It is recommend to directly sow these flower seeds outdoors in spring. The seedlings do not transplant well into the garden when started indoors. Before sowing seeds, soak the flower seed overnight in warm water. The next day, plant the flower seeds 1/2 inch deep in an area that gets at least 6 hours of direct sun each day. Have the soil worked so that it's fine and light. The flowers will appear in 8 - 12 weeks after being sown.
